My second last day in Paris. And yes… I spent it wisely with a trip up Tour Montparnasse.
After the reconstruction of the rooftop terrace (on 210m height) it is completely walled in with glass. However they actually thought about photographers as well and included vision slits in the glass-wall. Even though the glass wall provides some sort of protection from the wind, cameras facing towards the views are completely exposed to the hefty winds blowing through the slits – strong tripod needed!
While the entire 360° view from the terrace is stunning, the view to the Eiffel Tower and Invalides is truly unique and fascinated me most. The night-shots were really amazing but in the end I decided for my only daylight picture with a black & white conversion.
